ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR

Lantic is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor for the Montreal facility.

Main Responsibilities


Supervise two main accounting clerk accounts (accounts payable);

• Responsible for the complete cycle of accounts payable, including end-of-month closing;

• Communicate with suppliers and reconcile their statements;

• Act as a payables support and provide replacement when needed;

• Act as a substitute / support for internal and external audits as required (tax audits, investment tax credit, corporate tax audits, external financial audits, etc.);

• Act as a support for the seizure of journal entries in the financial system;

• Ensure that all accounts payable are entered on time and properly completed in the system;

• Solve problems in different locations (reception not made, bad prices etc.);

• Review weekly outstanding invoices to ensure payments are made in a timely manner;

• Perform month-end compiling metric reports such as age of accounts, outstanding invoices etc;

• Prepare newspaper entries for the end of the month

• Ensure all accounts payable processes and internal controls are tracked and up to date;

• Provide training, advice and support to system users in their knowledge of the application;

• Help users on new processes and functions;

• Identify recurring errors and recommend training, documents and / or procedures to reduce errors;

• Validate the payment terms for each supplier;

• Ensure that sales taxes are processed at all times (including training of senior accounting clerks);

• Prepare sales tax reports

• Validate sales tax numbers for all new suppliers;

• Assist special projects as they occur;

• Any other related tasks;

Qualifications


None

Education


College diploma in administration, accounting profile or equivalent

Knowledge Experience


• 5-10 years of experience in a similar position (in a public company, an asset)

• Ability to work with a large number of transactions (150 bills per day)

• Advanced knowledge of Excel

• Knowledge of Navision (an asset)

• Supervisory experience

• Bilingual
