Production and Logistics Planner

Lantic is currently recruiting for the Production and Logistics Planner based at our Vancouver Refinery. The position reports to the Supply Chain Director. The prime responsibility, in close collaboration with Operations, is to assure weekly & daily production schedules of the Vancouver and Taber plants. The incumbent will ensure to leverage the Canadian network demand with both plants capacity to assure proper supply and inventory levels by considering forecast and seasonality. In addition, the employee ensures that the supply chain network operates smoothly, and the customer receives orders effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with different departments (Sales, Operations, and Purchasing) and using sales volumes in a fiscal year;
  • Determining the availability of production, packaging and shipping capacities for Vancouver and Taber;
  • Manage and update MRP system on a daily/weekly basis;
  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products and coordinate with operations in determining storage capacity for inventory;
  • Negotiate pricing, review contracts, negotiate and establish freight rates for distribution across Canada;
  • Coordinate with custom brokers for planning and executing export loads from various facilities in Western Canada;
  • Coordinate and organize warehousing operation to support exceptional sale opportunities;


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Planning and logistics role
  • P Log. Certification is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management, freight & logistics, forecasting and budgeting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP, SAP, MMR, TMS programmes
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
