Acadian Sugar Pie
This traditional family recipe has its roots in the French-speaking community of New Brunswick. Enjoy this sweet treat!
Ingredients
- 9" unbaked Pie Shell
- 2/3 cup Demerara Sugar (or Old Fashioned Brown)
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 3 individual tsp of Butter
Directions
- Onto the unbaked pie shell, evenly sprinkle the Sugar.
- Pour the Milk over the sugar.
- Onto the sugar & milk, drop the three individual teaspoons of Butter in a triangle pattern.
- Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. The filling will harden and the pie crust will turn golden brown. Cool well before cutting. Enjoy!
